What the ceiling is made of
The surveyor brings samples of every film to site: colour and sheen look different under your own lighting than on a screen.

PVC: matte, satin, gloss
The main material. Matte reads like flat plaster, satin reflects softly, gloss adds height to the room.
- Up to 3.2 m wide, welded beyond that
- 0.17–0.20 mm thick
- Holds water during a leak
- Not for open balconies

Fabric film
Coated polyester. It breathes, tolerates sub-zero temperatures and needs no heating — the choice for cold rooms and allergy sufferers.
- Up to 5 m with no seam at all
- Installed without a heat gun
- Works below freezing
- Holds water less well than PVC

Photo printing
Printing on the film: sky, pattern, a photo of the property. Most often ordered for children’s rooms and headboard walls in apartments.
- 1440 dpi print resolution
- Artwork approved before printing
- Colour proof against a sample
- Made in 3–5 days

Translucent film
Light-diffusing film for a backlit ceiling: strips or panels hide behind it and the light comes out even, with no hot spots.
- Transmits 50–70 % of the light
- Installed together with the profile
- Gives daylight where there is no window
- Can be combined with printing
Documents for the material
- European fire-safety certificates for the film
- Hygiene certificates — the films are approved for childcare and medical spaces
- Copies are handed over with the contract and the warranty certificate
Care
- A soft sponge and water with a neutral detergent, once a season
- No abrasives, brushes or alcohol
- Wipe gloss dry with microfibre after cleaning

Stretch, plasterboard or paint
An honest look at all three: each has its place. If your slab is flat and the building is dry, paint it — that is cheaper.

Questions
The short answers
How long does the install take?
A room up to 20 m² takes 3–4 hours including clean-up. A whole flat is one day, provided the film is already ordered to the measurements.
Do I need to move the furniture out?
No. We move it to the centre and cover it ourselves. Only the wall perimeter needs to be clear.
Is there a smell afterwards?
The faint smell from heating clears within a few hours with the windows open. You can sleep in the room the same day.
What happens after a flood?
The film holds the water. We come, drain it through a spotlight and refit it. In most cases it does not need replacing.
What is the warranty?
12 years on the film and seams, 2 years on the install and lighting. The warranty is written into the contract.
Do you work outside Batumi?
Yes: Makhinjauri, Gonio, Kobuleti, Chakvi, Kvariati. Measurement visits across Adjara are free.
Is PVC film harmful?
Certified film is not. There is a smell on installation day only, from the heating, and it clears within hours with the windows open. The same films go into nurseries and clinics; copies of the certificates come with the contract.
Will the film sag over time?
Correctly tensioned film does not — it holds for years. Sagging almost always means water from above or an installation error, and inside the warranty we fix it free.
Which light fittings can I use?
LED, up to 40 W per point, with a thermal ring. Halogen and incandescent lamps are out — they melt the film. We fit the lighting during the install so the ceiling is never opened later.
What if the film gets cut?
A small cut near the edge is taken into a seam or patched under a fitting. Harpoon-mounted film can be taken down and refitted — the room is not redone.
How do I clean it?
A soft sponge and water with a neutral detergent. No abrasives, brushes or alcohol. Wipe gloss dry with microfibre afterwards so no streaks remain.
How long does a stretch ceiling last?
15–20 years and more. It is never repainted or whitewashed — care means a wipe-down once a season.
What is the largest seamless size?
PVC goes up to 3.2 m wide; beyond that it is welded, and the seam is straight and invisible from a distance. Fabric film runs to 5 m with no seams at all.
